Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Have restaurants like Taco Bell gotten crazy expensive for what you get or am I crazy?
1·3 months agoAll these replies and you’re the only one to mention the apps. It’s absolutely one of the reasons why (beyond them using “inflation” to cover for straight greed).
By jacking their prices way up, and only offering discounts via their apps, they win either way - You pay ridiculous amounts, or you pay slightly less ridiculous amounts and they get your data.
Weird way to find out I have schizophrenia. Damn.
I have that same plate and bowl!

Parenting@lemmy.world•Parental controls on children’s tech devices are out of touch with child’s play
3·3 months agoMy kid watches a ton of educational content, so I don’t even necessarily want to block all of YouTube. I just want to be able to block individual videos and channels.

9·4 months agoI didn’t understand why we didn’t set the expectation years ago of phones ignoring the top and bottom 20%. Change it so 80 is the new 100, 20 is the new 0, and then play up the longevity factor and some marketing bs around “we squeeze every last drop out of the last 5%” (ie letting the phone go to 18% or something).
I’ve got my og NES.
You know, I’m surprised by how much green is on here. I would have expected much more red and purple.

3·6 months agoI think @Quilotoa@lemmy.ca has you beat with ~49 years
Agreed. Why the fuck is a browser allowed to know my battery status or connection strength?

Cool, but have you thought about using it for Tasker profiles?
