I’ve been in IT for decades and also privately (non pro non esport - for fun!) gaming. So I know my stuff but also know that I don’t know everything.

And I’m also Autist.

So this in combination let’s me make statements which always arrive at neurotypicals as negative, how could it not? The reason not being that I want to hurt people, but rather that we communicate in content only and NT communicate between the lines; and that’s inserted automatically even if it’s not even sent. So yeah sucks for both sides (double empathy problem BTW).

So what I see with a post like this is that the hardware is more than sufficient for many things, gaming works and… What? Streaming not? That’s basically the weakest in the equation.

But then a lot of context is missing. Streaming TO or streaming FROM. Of yours the streaming from that device, encoding, that’s another thing. That might cause issues although picking the right encoding in hardware should also be OK.

And streaming TO there should not be an issue at all.

So I am left guessing. The hardware is fine (that’s where that conclusion, not underhanded ‘you said’ came from) and the issue must be with software or skills (again, not blaming, everyone including me has this all the time and might require more knowledge for this specific case).

So, maybe I gave you some (also unexpected) insight in why I reacted like this.

Also, nonwithstanding, autists can also be assholes aside from this. And techies especially, too. But having had some of our experiences with people that’s often very understandable, too.

There are just so many gaps to fill and it’s not an issue of the hardware as far as I can guess.

That’s fair to think there was only a series because after the movies were done and the series came out they cut the movies into series length episodes too (now the movies are season 1 - I don’t know if that was the plan from the beginning).

Maybe some countries then also only got that format. Anyhow the movies were the ones with Eva Habermanm as Zev, so thats how you can easily distinguish them.

Since the movies were produced in part with German involvement we got them long before the series in our TV (I think it was the channel vox) and at that time it was something to look forward to as a scifi fan.

Well, lexx is trashy to begin with but the series just really sucks in comparison.

But go ahead, feel free to explore. In my opinions it’s one of the things that makes the former worse by existing.

I’m more of a ‘there were only the movies, no series’ guy.

Yes, some specific cars and lights are surprisingly bad, but in general it’s not comparable to the US. Maybe also depends on the specific country, too, of course.

That’s the kind of freedom I love not to have in Europe (it’s regulated).

For me mainly bicycle lights are sometimes brighter than cars but mostly far too high and some on the back blinking too (illegal here, but still seeing it often).

Never looked in to deeply how haos manages things.

I never used hacs since I’ve heard it complicates setups and maintenance and I don’t want to put in more effort than I absolutely have to (working as it pro and don’t need that privately). Running several integrations, Enphase as stated, airthings, broadlink, esphome, homekit, melcloud, nanoleaf and the main one for me, zigbee.

Speed when booted is perfectly fine, can’t say otherwise.

What specifically is slow? Oh wait you said funkily, I interpreted slow. (edit: no wait you said it later lol) Anyhow, there’s the modbus integration though I assume it’s just the basic interface to your pv and you’d need to put in the effort to get data yourself or something. Don’t know modbus.

Strange. I’ve been running haos for some years on a 3b+ which is different but the soc is the same (although slightly higher clock) as is the amount of ram.

As said, I run haos though, not containers. Not sure how you tried it.

Just slap it on a SD card and go… Mostly intuitive.

I don’t know about integrating your pv though. I am lucky with Enphase, although that has some downsides besides generally working.
