Asian games, both perverse and standard. Translation patches don’t necessarily make the internal workings of a game able to run on English locale. As to specific games, I don’t recall at the moment - I play too many.

I wouldn’t mind a Steam Whistle, if it lets me have privacy and security.

I don’t do just Steam. As said before, I sometimes use mods or play niche games, such as ones that require Japanese locale, Windows v3.1, GOG games, and so forth. While I am not a true power user, my needs definitely go beyond Steam alone. I had tried out Mint a year ago, Hero, Lutris, Mini Galaxy, and so forth failed to work smoothly with my games.

Granted. I really hope he is raising a protege to take the helm when the time comes, or divides up the Steam Kingdom and lets the best folk win.

Which is good. It is just that I don’t have much patience for troubleshooting, I prefer to just game or work. For me, I would stick to Windows if it weren’t for Microsoft likely being a bad actor.

I am waiting for SteamOS Desktop to be released before switching. I want the support of an 800lb corporate gorilla, that prioritizes gaming. I use mods and play niche games, so I need a Linux that balances casual users while allowing for some power user stuff.
I already know about Bazzite and Cachy, but again, I want the support of a focused giant who won’t die or change hands.

I am hoping those kids are looking at children of leftists and asking themselves, “why don’t I have loving parents and the good life?” Even better, is if they become friends with those leftist children, and eventually escape the darkness as adults.

This means that left-leaning men will raise happier families, while the incel-aligned will have their own bloodlines end in deserved extinction. 🎉

Most of the stuff I want to pirate, is because they are expensively rare or not available through stores. Mind, that might change in the future, just because of how crap the US economy is becoming for the ordinary person.
I want to support cool stuff by paying, if the terms are reasonable. That means no DRM, all content, and an appropriate price. It is mostly hentai games that I am buying, since the developers of those definitely need the money.

Try a source port and see if that helps. They basically take the data from the source game, and run it in a way that is better suited for modern hardware and gaming.

I am waiting for SteamOS Desktop to be released before abandoning Windows. Way I figure, that is the best way to get a ‘casual’ Linux, without scrimping on utility. Having Valve as the distro provider would also ensure that my flavor of Linux is stable, well supported, and documented.

I am hoping that Gabe someday creates a PayValve service, to let perverts and LGBTQ+ customers to have a True Neutral transaction processor. Just a 1% fee would let Valve get a little bit of profit from everyone who doesn’t use MasterVisa - including competing game stores, or other markets.

It should have LEDs, so it can blush when playing pervy games.

This is a big reason why I would prefer a SteamOS Desktop over Cachy and friends. Also, documentation that is designed for people who don’t have an interest in becoming masters of the terminal. My general impression of Linux as an intermediate user, is a Tower of Babel situation, everyone having different procedures for how to resolve the same issue.

More performance, which would be appreciated. I use local AI for roleplay, shaving off a couple minutes from a response would be nice.
Aside from that, KDE Plasma might let me tweak my experience better than what Mint allowed. Being nearly a complete newcomer to Linux, I don’t really know what distro actually suits me. That is why I would prefer an official SteamOS Desktop, since that would probably have enough casual and power to be useful for me. I am pretty much just going to try Cachy and see how I feel.
🤷♂️

I am waiting for an official SteamOS Desktop release. If I am switching to Linux, I would prefer a gaming-focused PC distro that has the support of an 800lb gorilla.
If I have to migrate early, say, at the start of a 2nd American Civil War, I will probably use CachyOS. I don’t expect Microsoft to be neutral or to work for the good guys.

He died before Epstein Island was a thing, presumably.

The US is a prison nation.
If we have a civil war, that can change. I can’t think of better recruits for soldiery and domestic, than those who have been wronged by the opposing force. It is a silver lining to the deterioration of the USA, if this evil can be dispelled for good.

Getting funding from South Korea might be an option. They probably want the Trump Regime to go away, so that they can carry on business without a toddler doing stupid shit.
If a civil war happens, I suspect the Blue States would get a great deal of foreign support. “Fuck that guy”, would be a big part of that. The other part being “I want a reliable business partner.” Kinda like how the Confederates were boned internationally when it came to trade. Plus, it would be an easy way to earn favors with whatever institution that displaces Trumpkins.
I like Lobotomy Corporation. It is basically a SCP-roguelike, where you manage a facility full of monsters. A 100% playthrough will take over 150 hours, probably closer to 300. It is a difficult game that demands your full attention, else you will hear trumpets.
