That’s a pretty fantastic site, with a lot of things I can use. It’s got all the Adobe things that I’m trying to avoid using, because fuck adobe even if i was pirating it, but not what I’m after. Great shout though, I’ll definitely be having another look at it

I thought it was bad juju to just announce what you’re trying to steal. I’m after Lightroom’s main competitor

You know that the second hand market exists, right? I bought my m1 air for £150, so I’ll be fucked if I pay the prices Adobe etc want for software for personal use, even if I didn’t think Adobe’s business model was deplorable.
Crunchy on the outside

That seems almost more important than the original post

Hey baby, are you a school? Coz I want to shoot kids in you

I think if you use them pretty hard, Leatherman becomes more reasonable, as I’ve used their lifetime warranty twice in five years, and will probably have this thing for another decade or two. No other multitool I’ve owned has stood up to how I use them, so their price is really justified for a get-out-of-the-shit tool for my use case. That said, I bought an Amazon one with extremely similar functionality for my mate’s kid recently for about £20, and it’s really impressive. For most people I guess that would last long enough to make the warranty a non-issue, and it will definitely do 9/10ths of what a Leatherman will

Hah, yep, that sailed straight over my head! That’s a dense boost…

Yeah, I got one of these for my camera gear, but have found hundreds of other uses for it

Nah not really, but it comes with a belt pouch though. It’s a little bit bigger than say a boost or a double decker or whatever, and it’s definitely heavy, but not spiky or awkward to keep in a pocket

My leatherman was a little over a ton, and is probably my most used tool. It’s my first line of problem solving in almost all situations

No thank you

Mlem on my phone, I get on pretty well with it

Make the feet “ribs” protrude into the box, with a 45° rebated channel cut into each side that the side pieces slot into maybe? Have the foot detail just extend under the base to support it. That’s a lot of glue area even if the sides and base are thin, and you’d only lose a small part of the volume to the part protruding into the internal volume

Must ecstatic at the moment, it’s absolutely torrential here
Yeah, I can see the whole “bed not being the safe retreat from the horrors of the waking world” thing being traumatic, I reckon I’d probably just burn the whole lot and start again
No mention of the bastard Horse Fly that chewed me up while I was strimming yesterday. I reckon the only ones I like less than the Horse Fly are the flea and the tick, and the last only because they’re disease-ridden little nightmares. That said, I’ve never been bitten by a bedbug or stung by a scorpion, so they may well be bastards too

Anne Leckie, every book. There’s something of Banks about her writing, the protagonist in the main 3 books used to be but one body out of thousands controlled by a ship mind, before finding its self isolated and for the first time, singular. I adore her quiet writing style, and weird was of thinking of things. The Translators in particular are not only some of my favourite characters in any book, they’re also a phenomenal literary device.
