Yeah, phones are quite capable now. I ran a MC server just for me and some friends and it seemed fine.

I tried another server with mods and it exploded. Mine is quite small: 3GB RAM, so not much for a modded server.

I would host a lot of shit on my phone werent it for my ISP which only provides IPv4 and also puts me behind CG-NAT.

BTW, I switched from ChromeOS to Fedora (so, not using the Crostini VM to run Wine nor Proton). It instantly fixed this issue. I’ve booted up one of the games I usually ran under Wine and it didn’t drive the CPU crazy anymore!

Using battery saver disables turbo boost, so it never goes to 3Ghz, which means it doesnt go to 90c that quickly anymore. Thanks for making me remember battery saver exists!

Theres one Minecraft version on IA. Its an old one but its very portable, so you can play it on your school without much hassle (assuming your school installed java 8 lol).
