No one will ever convince me that Nu-Trek isn’t an alternate universe.
Simply for the fact that Starfleet decided to retrofit the Enterprise with buttons, knobs, and CRT screens before giving it to Kirk? Makes no sense.

I had a Barcode Battler. I loved it. Looking back, I guess the fun came from the book that accompanied it along with creating my milk, cereal, or soap themed heroes.
Who cares? Fuck Epic.
Dishwasher for dishes, pots and pans get scrubbed by hand, simply because I can fit 6 or 7 plates in the same space pots take while it only takes a few seconds to scrub a pot.
I’ve installed Mint on 2 older MacBooks. All I had to do was plug in to Ethernet and update the drivers to get it working. I have had no problems with either one since.
Thinkpads are super durable and kind of fun. I got a bunch of T420s (nice) from my boss for free and they’re all running Mint fantastically, as well as some 90s games. (They are being used for the occasional LAN party)
The T420 is from around 2011, so if you spent money on one you could get a better one easy.

Hmmm interesting.
What about the Mac version? And Mac software in general? I’m also new to Linux (and not a programmer), but wouldn’t that be easier to get running considering Mac OS is Unix based?
Sorry I kind of feel like I’m high-jacking your post, but it got me thinking and I’m probably too lazy to ever post about it myself.

Awesome thanks!
I’ll play around with this idea on my tester laptop :)

What about non-gaming software? I do some video editing for work and am often handed projects started in Premiere. They want it back in Premiere, so I can’t switch my main desktop over because of this.

Why does that matter to you?

Ok, then I separate animated and comedy :p

I like Lower Decks, but it’s not old Trek. Strange New Worlds is great, but I’m so tired of prequels and reboots and blah blah blah

New crew. New ship. Post-DS9. Not an animated comedy. That’s all I want.

If you’re a business owning a building, maintenance is another thing you have to take care of as well as the business. If you’re not equipped to maintain the building or pay people to do it, then it might be better to rent and have the landlord take care of that stuff.
My union is selling our building because it wasn’t really anybody’s job to keep up on maintenance for the last 30 years. Now people that care are in there and they got estimates and whatnot, and it came to like a $600,000 bill to get it all caught up.
So we’re partnering with a local non-profit and moving our office in to their space with meeting rooms and whatnot that we can share. We have one meeting a month and training sessions already happen elsewhere. All of work is done away from the building aside from 3 people in the office full time, so it makes sense in our situation.

I love IV. It’s less a Star Trek movie and more of a fish-out-water comedy featuring our favourite crew

Did the Tylenol boss say something bad about Charlie Kirk?

StarFox on the Super NES (or maybe N64) had inverted controls that couldn’t be changed. I could never go back after I got used to it.
I just tell people to view it like you’re controlling your neck, not your head. You pull your neck back, your line of sight goes up, you push your neck forward, your line of sight goes down.
