Where did you move from?

Hehe ok I’ll wear those down votes. I didn’t understand the reference as I heard it first on The Two Ronnies as ‘a bird in the hand is worth two in the shepherd’s bush’ which I think think might be a carry-on reference.
I didn’t see why l would want a bird in my hand in the first place.
PS - what happened to your D key?

In the case of inverter air conditioning it might make a small difference at it won’t throttle down as it approaches the intended, not commanded, target.

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush?

I use my older Linux laptop with Rustdesk to remotely control my ‘good’ one. Works nicely, and they’ve fixed the Windows key / alt tab issues as well.

It’s a Motorola thing :)
https://www.reddit.com/r/motorola/comments/1g5ie7c/camera_freezing_hanging_in_moto_g84_5g/ for example.
Mine is fine in Armidale 5G but fails in Parkes 5G for example.

The g84 is a great mid range phone with all the things that a phone should have, except for a decent camera.
Being Motorola it has a couple of idiotic quirks that will never get fixed
kills Facebook messenger in the background no matter what your do.
on some but not all Australian 5g networks, the camera closes after a few seconds and is unusable unless you switch to 4g etc.
I can live with those given the rest of the stuff is great for the price point.
Rarely use headphones so can’t comment much on that side. FM radio seems to manage without.

Paper wraps around rock.

My Sunbeam egg cooker. Not sure it qualifies as a utensil?
I just stick two eggs in, plus the amount of water indicated for two eggs, and soon two soft boiled eggs are ready. No fuss, no guesswork.

ddrescue (or gddrescue) is a great version if you have a sick drive. It’ll try to copy the good areas first then go back to hammer on the sick areas.
Not perfect as it doesn’t know about the file system so it tries to copy the entire surface, but generally a good tool.
Naah he buggered off on a plane to Spain back in the 70s.
I think I need a new username. This one’s too confusing. I do kinda feel like I’m missing a brother I never had though.
Left reddit for /kbin.
/kbin slowly decomposed.
Landed on Voyager as it was similar to RiF.

Also Voyager.
Wish it had a ‘forward’ button for when you accidentally go back one step too far. RiF had that.

Rustdesk, so I can remote into my main computer and the others I manage.
PWAs For Firefox.
And that’s about it.
I use Debian BTW. (Was on Fedora but killed it when there were sound issues, turned out to Rustdesk at fault. Can’t do Mint as it boots to black screen.)
Chrome OS Flex seems OK. Not sure how it manages printers.

The light coloured Eneloop ones seem to have the lowest self discharge. I use them in Arlec PIR sensors without issue.

Hehe. As a small town Facebook group admin, it’s useful to have it reliable, but not the end of the world.
I don’t know for sure - my suspicion is that messenger relies on some other service which doesn’t appear in the battery optimisation UI and thus can’t be kept awake. (Opening the Facebook app causes Messenger to also wake up.)
My previous Realme phone had the same issue.

Still mostly loving my cheap Motorola g84. Rarely use the headphone jack but it’s there. The stereo speakers in it are pretty good.
Biggest gripe is it kills Facebook messenger in the background no matter what you do. WhatsApp unaffected though.
Image is ok in Voyager.
Breathing might be a worry. I have a cavalier and it’s bad enough at times with sleep apnoea. Great temperament but not great plumbing in the schnozz department.
Hehe. On mine the cruise, high beam and fog light indicators don’t dim with the rest of the dash board.
Luckily they’re all along the top row in the centre, so I drape the glasses cleaning cloth over the dashboard to form a little curtain.
I’m in a rural area.
