Understanding the proper way to install apps is the biggest one. Make it clear that .exe files are for Windows only.
I wouldn’t try to go further than that, I feel that’s the biggest thing a general user really needs to know.

That’s odd. I’ve used a variety of 8BitDo controllers on a few distros through the years with no issues. I don’t have specifically the Pro 2 though.

Do you have a link to the announcement? I can’t find it online :(

Coolio, can we get the steam client to 64 bit as well?

I wasn’t giving advice for pirating it. You’re on your own for that if you can’t afford the $7.00 to get a copy from the play store.
No issues using SMB with my Unraid and transferring to/from my main Fedora 42 KDE PC.

There’s a launcher called “Minecraft Bedrock Launcher” that’s been working fine for me.

ALVR is a thing for Quest (and maybe other?) headsets. I’ve been able to get it to “work”, but it was a pain and would constantly have random issues.
I ended up just dual booting windows for VR.

As someone who games on Fedora as my main OS, we need to stop pretending that Linux gaming is all sunshine and rainbows.
Yes, fuck Windows, and it probably did fuck his boot loader, but it doesn’t invalidate his other poor experiences he had with the OS.
Hell, I don’t think that even that was necessarily an invalid experience just because it was caused by Windows. Dual booting is a thing people have to do, especially if they want to play the games that just don’t work on Linux. Even if you don’t like the games personally, they are huge and a lot of people want to play them. Even my main Linux group dual booted recently to play the BF6 beta.
Being elitist and calling people stupid because they had a bad experience will do nothing but hurt Linux gaming. Instead of calling JayzTwoCents stupid because he dual booted for a valid reason, explain alternatives that he could have done to prevent the issue. If we want to grow as a community, we need to provide actual helpful feedback, not by being toxic.

I would plan on the 800 or so price range.
(Also unrelated, but since this is in the Linux gaming community I wanted to let you know the fortnite does not work on Linux due to the anti cheat.)
Best buy open box is probably the best place to look.

It’s probaly not needed at this point. You can get flash drives crazy cheap.

I’ve been meaning to try the game again. Haven’t really touched it since launch.

If BF6 even gets close to that number I will eat my own socks. Such an unrealistic sales goal.

I hope they update some of the original Ultimate 1 controllers for support. I love 8bitdo controllers, but I’m not going to buy a controller over it, and I constantly have had issues with my SN30 Pro buttons sticking.

The performance itself has not changed really. The article is a bit misleading.
They did fix the shader compilation issues, which would caused by the previous update. Overall performance is basically the same.

Hopefully they enable it for proton in general so desktop users can use it.

Do creators still get adsense for their videos if I watch it on peertube? There’s creators I still want to support. Not interested it it’s just unofficial reuploads not related to the video creators.
Sorry man, your going to get down voted like crazy just because you posted something bad about Linux.
Good info thoughm
