i add water in this case; however, if water will make it a but too thin then you can add a water+corn starch mix to keep it thick.
edit: tbh, usually my “water” is water will some chicken or beef bouillon in there

that is great! terminal use is not for everyone, so i only recommend using it if people feel comfortable with it or think it can save them time (and during troubleshooting, but im usually helping at that point).
my wife diesnt like using the terminal and has successfully gone without using it (minus me setting things up for her in the first few months), and that has given me a lot mire confidence in recommending linux to those that just want to use a computer and want it to “just work”

they get kubuntu or fedora with ~3 months of support from me. it can sometimes take 6 months if the person doesnt really use their computer often, tho.

yes, i use all-purpose flour (same as plain flour, just american); these have that cookie texture, not the cakey texture (a small rise, but not a ton)

might as well just hand it over, lol. this is my ingredient list:
1 Cup (2 sticks) Butter
2-1/3 Cup Flour
1 Teaspoon Salt
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1/4 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Brown Sugar
2 Eggs
2 Tablespoons Milk
1-1/2 Teaspoons Vanilla
1 Bag (~11-12oz) of Choco Chips (substitutable)
edit: note: 2 eggs are for 1 whole egg + 1 egg yolk
edit 2: my steps… might as well…
#Melt Butter
melt the butter and let it cool slightly
#Mix 1
Mix together flour, salt, baking soda
putting onto paper plate after mixing works well here…
#Mix 2
In mixer, add butter, sugar, & brown sugar, and beat for 2 minutes
#Mix 3
Mix together 1 egg, 1 egg yolk, milk, vanilla
#Mix 3 & 2
Mix 3 into mix 2 on slow/stir
#Mix Plate
Slowly pour Mix 1 into main mix, make sure it fully mixes
#Add Chips
Pour in your chocolate (or whatever type) chips; mix on slow/stir until combined, then turn off.
#Chill
Chill in the fridge for 1 hr
#Prep & Bake
Split into 24 cookies. Use parchment paper. Bake for 12-15 minutes at 375F.
2 sheets per bake swap sheets 1/2 way through

i think i am using the same; i use what is called “all-purpose flour” in usa

oh, saw another problem here. use baking soda for regular choco chip cookies.
baking soda == baking powder without the rising element. the acidity of the cookie will bring less fluffiness/cakiness than the full rise from powder. for a reference on amount (sorry, i am american so i use cheeseburger measurements…), i use 2-1/3c flour to 1 teaspoon baking soda; not cut with baking powder
edit: i think i said that wrong. baking soda has the rising agent, but not the activator for the rising agent. baking powder has the activator.

too cakey == too much flour. too thin == not enough flour. pull the cookies 1 minute before their full time on your first run because cookies are better slightly under than slightly over.
tell the doneness by looking at the bottom of the cookie - that is the color that will tell uou the most about their doneness <3

i regularly attempt to shop at the manufacturer’s website. i will do a search for a product type, get blasted with only positive reviews for shitty products, find a product whose brand isnt similar to UFVEGDKFNDBDHDJ, and find their website to purchase.

i measured once, cut twice, and its still too short.

you mentioned CAD was a bit too much for what you are looking for; however, there is a simple code-only cad program that makes simple tasks like making a shape super easy: openscad
example:
Circle(17);
makes a 17mm radius circle.

i can imagine the unimportant meetings that werent part of the show… you know like routine runs.
“i am captain jean luc picard of the USS Enterprise. to my right is my number one, commander riker. to my front left is my number two, lieutenant commander data… as opposed to this random lady sitting next to me who has nothing to do with leadership on the bridge.”
[everyone glares at troy]
ooooooo i didnt know there was a take-n-bake style english muffin :o
i eat 2 english muffins a week and always have them in stock. i will have to try these out : D
thank you!

i am a very late bloomer to ST. i watches TOS and loved it; i startrd up TNG about a month ago.
im in season 3 episode 4 and councillor troy hasnt died yet. i hate her with a fiery passion for ruining what seems to be a really good show. my friends have confirmed she doesnt die and told me to leave TNG behind and move on to DS9.
i guess i get DS9 tomorrow.
man… youre making me want some orange marmelade rn. thank you - it looks delicious : D

i mainly bike and am in america (its shitty). i search on GM for a company, grab the address, plug it in to OSMand, and use the bike routing - its extremely good.
there are options in OSMand where you can “prefer biways” - use it… its great. every time there is a bad, unsafe, or non-existant crossing, you can tap-hold -> avoid road and it will only avoid that tiny block you selected. sooooooooo good.
im biking ~7mi one-way this evening (do it once weekly; its a bit longer than my usual rides of <3mi), but all of the roads i hate are already avoided, and i only have to take a little bit of unpaved rocky shit “sidewalk” path to get there (a super busy freeway overpass; im not riding in the street)

no hate! you actually found a use for them! :o

though nowadays i usually research heavily and fix hardware problems more often, i have reinstalled linux many times due to weird issues i did not understand many times. its okay, it happens to us all <3
i think im ~#6 :)

oof, no wifi is kind of a dealbreaker for me; i have a home server and really dont want to have to be VPN’d into my home all the time :(
looks like fairphone 6 doesnt have much support on postmarket yet, but i’ll keep an eye on it - ty <3
i currently use immich, and it is phenomenal. immich is self-hosted, though, so you will need to host it somewhere.
i like it more than google photos because of its search features. ai/ml (local) learning of your photos so you can search for generic stuff and get pictures for it - it has been super helpful for sharing pictures with others, and i can generate single-use or limited-permission links to the photos just like a pro service. after importing a whole bunch of photos and letting the ai/ml run, make sure to name the people it pulls from your photos for easy searches for them : D
